Bethune, Takaka. v* * * On Thursday, the 18th May, the an- , nual ball of the Combined Old Boys’ , and Old Girls’ Associations is being . held in the Assembly Hall. The ball has been a great success for some years I now, and is looked forward to as one . of the events of the season. An inter- | esting feature is the presentation of the | debutantes which will take place about 9.15 p.m. Through the generosity of the Council of Governors the Ball Committee is able to use all the facilities of the College dining room for supper which contributes considerably 1 to the success of the evening. A large attendance is anticipated. *¥ * * Miss May Smith, daughter of Mr and Mrs G. E. Smith, Motueka, 4? spending a holiday with relatives in Wellington.
