(Received 9th May. 11.50 a.m.) LONDON, Bth May At the wool sales 7879 bales were offered, including 4229 New Zealand, and 6763 were sold. A good selection was offered, chiefly New Zealand crossbreds. which, together with the best Merinos, met an active home trade demand at firm rates, the former occasionally favouring sellers. * New Zealand lots sold as follows "Balmoral" combing, 23d to 24$d; greasy | "Longburn” Psd to 14d; “H.B.Mc.” 9|d jto 14Jd. (These prices represent the j lowest and highest obtained). THE BRADFORD MARKET On the Bradford market crossbreds are firm with good demand and heavy consumption. Forty-eighths and below | Merinos, are quiet. Quotations are well maintained.
