POLAND’S INDUSTRIAL AREA.—A view of the industrial town of Katowice in Upper Silesia. A major portion of Upper Silesia, previously German territory, was allotted to Poland in the Peace Treaty, the remainder being incorporated in Czechoslovakia. Since Munich, Czechoslovakia's share has passed into Poland Germany now casts longing eyes on her former rich industrial area.
