REFRESHER COURSE

CONTINENTAL DOCTORS IN DUNEDIN REPLY TO ADVERSE CRITICISM lUnited Press Association) DUNEDIN, This Day. Twelve Continental doctors, mainly Jewish, are now undergoing a refresher course at the University to satisfy the requirements for New Zealand practice. Some adverse criticism alleges unfairness, critics stating that these men have held high positions and are receiving tuition from men less qualified than themselves. The innuendo is cast that these courses are in the nature of belittlement, but it is pointed out in reply that doctors from any country with which Great Britain has not a reciprocal exchange understanding must undergo such a refresher course before entitled to practice, and the fact is that the 12 doctors are happy and contented, on the best of terms with their associates and the authorities, and knew before coming the stipulations preceding the right to practice.
