WESTERN EGYPTIAN FRONTIER
MASSING OF BRITISH TROOPS | GUNS MOUNTED AT PORT SAID 1 (Received 19th April. 9 a.m.) PORT SAID, 18th April. Heavy concentrations of British troops on the Western Egyptian frontier are reported. Reinforcements have arrived from Palestine and others are reported to be en route from India. Anti-aircraft batteries and coastal defence artillery have been mounted at Port Said and the Suez Canal zone. Six British warships are anchored at Alexandria.
