SOMETHING UNUSUAL IN FUNNELS.—A new departure in ship construction is marked by the "louvres” which have been left in the forepart of the funnel casings of the CunardWhite Star new liner Mauretania. A draught is thus created, rapidly carrying off the exhaust gases. The vessel will make her maiden voyage in June.
