BRIGHTWATER CRIBBAGE CLUB

ANNUAL MEETING There was a fair attendance of members of the Brightwater Cribbage Club at their annual meeting, the president. Mr L. Sigglekow, being in the chair. The balance sheet showed a satisfactory position. The election of officers resulted as follows:—President, Mr R. S. Haycock; vice-president, Mr J. Fanselow (reelected); committee. Messrs Hill, Duncan, Ford, and F. Palmer; selection committee, president, vice-president, and Mr L. Sigglekow. Mr G. Silcock, who has been secretary of the club for the past thirty years, tendered his resignation as secretary and treasurer. The members expressed regret at losing the services of Mr Silcock as secretary, and a hearty vote of thanks was accorded him for his untiring efforts. Mr Silcock had been created a life-member some three years previously. The position of secretary and treasurer is to be filled at a later meeting. The competitions will be held as usual, commencing on Wednesday, 26th April. A friendly game is to be arranged for next Saturday evening. It was resolved to have a “working bee” next Saturday, when a good attendance of members is expected.
