CONFERENCE DISCUSSIONS COMMITTEES APPOINTED 1 United l’r*M A Annotation 1 WELLINGTON, This Day The conference on Pacific defence and related problem* between representatives of the British, Australian and New Zealand Governments was continued in Wellington yesterday. The following official statement was issued: "The conference reassembled at JO a m. and continued discussions on its agenda. Having decided to refer various problems to a number of committees. the conference adjourned at 12 4* p.m . till the reports of the committees are available ” An official luncheon in honour of the delegates to the conference will be given by the Government to-day. The Prime Minister. Mr Savage, will preside. The personnel of the conference was completed yesterday by the arrival of Captain E. C Johnston, bv the Awatea from Sydney. Captain Johnston is Controller-General of Civil Aviation in Australia, and w'ts present at another conference held in New Zealand in 1936.
