Mr Savage and most of the . members of Cabinet were present. Motions of thanks to the president, s Mr James Roberts; the national secrei tary, Mr Wilson. M.L.C.; conference e officers and the national executive were f carried, to the accompaniment of musical honours. Wellington women members of the party were thanked by visiting women ; delegates for the hospitality extended. MAORI RACE'S THANKS On the motion of a Maori delegate, the conference passed a vote of confidence in the Prime Minister and Government and expressed appreciation of the benefits received by the Maori race during Labour’s term of office. All remits of an industrial character were referred to the executive of the Federation of Labour for consideraj tion. The federation’s report on them, after discussion, was referred to the * joint executives of the federation and the party. Mr W. R. Spence, general secretary f of the National Union of Seamen of Great Britain, addressed the confei--5 ence and conveyed fraternal greetings 1 on behalf of his union apd the British 5 Labour Party. Conference carried a motion cont gratulating the British Labour Party f on the stand it is taking against aggressive nations.
