PREMATURE REPORT

CALLING CP OF CONSCRIPTS IN BELGIUM (Received 13th April, noon.) BRUSSELS. 12th April. Rumours that four classes of conscripts are heing called up are officially described as premature.

Leaders of the Catholic. Socialist, and Liberal parties met King Leopold, after which M. Pierlot, Prime Minister, was charged with the formation of a Cabinet. Provincial councils elected forty-four senators, and this gives the Socialists seventeen addition seats, Catholics fifteen, Liberals six. Flemish Socialists j three, and Rexists three.

Senators will shortly co-opt twenty two more.
