(Received 12th April, 12.20 p.m.) LONDON, 11th April The Chinese Embassy reporting on successes in Central and South China, announces that the Chinese have driven the Japanese twelve miles eastward from Kaoan, in North Kaingsi. A Chinese flying column attacked Fenchsin. The Japanese are now reinforced and are apparently planning a retaliatory drive towards Changsha. Chinese efforts in Central Hupei threaten to sever Japanese communications after the re-capture of Tienshatien and Huangchiatsi, while the Chinese southern advance has reached Shihching, ten miles from Canton.
