THE WEATHER

FURTHER FINE CONDITIONS PREDICTED DROUGHT CONTINUES To-day’s weather forecast is for a continuance of fine weather, an intense and extensive anti-cyclone being centred over the Dominion. Mild day, and cool night temperatures are expected. The weather was perfect for the Easter holidays with warm sunny days and no wind. However, yet another week has been added to the dry spell, and in all parts of the province one of the worst droughts in the history of Nelson is being experienced. TJie rainfall to date this year has been only 1.24 inches, and it is now one month since the last shower of .12 of an inch of rain fell. Yesterday 9 hours 25 minutes of bright sunshine was recorded.
