DOVEDALE

WOMEN’S DIVISION SUCCESSFUL MEETING A meeting of the Dovedale branch of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union was held in the Sunday School. Mrs L. Hall presided over a fair attendance of members. The meeting opened with the Women’s Division Song, followed by the Creed. Reports were given of the last executive meeting and of Mrs Wickam’s J visit to Nelson. It was arranged to have the annual meeting on the 24th April. Members handed in suggestions for next year’s roll calls. The roll call for the evening was "My Favourite Seng.” The competition for the best parsnips was won by Mrs C. Burnett, with Mrs Alec Win second. The "Best Bloom in My Garden” was won by Mrs Alec Win. Miss Rona Win being second. A competition arranged by Mrs Crerar was won b> Mrs E. Thompson. Supper brought a very enjoyable meeting to a close.
