THE BROOK V. BRIGHTWATER The Brook Tennis Club played a friendly match with the Brightwatcr Club at the Brook courts. The games were played in delightful weather and were thoroughly enjoyed by all. Mrs Shuttle worth and Miss Hopkinson beat Misses Cann and Smith 6-4. beat Misses Boyce and Benjes 6-2. lost to Mrs While and Miss Howcroft 4-6. Mrs Hildyard and Miss Pearless lost tc Misses Boyce and Benjes 2-6. lost to Mrs White and Miss Howcroft 3-6, lost to Misses Cann and Smith 3-6. MEN’S DOUBLES Everett and Francois lost to >bxlon and Walker 5-6, beat Harris and Jones 6-2. beat Mant and Rees 6-3. Kearns and Cross lost, to Sexton and Walker 2-6, lost to Mant. and Rees 2-6, beat Harris and Jones 6-3. COMBINED DOUBLES Francois and Miss Max lost to Sexton and Mrs White 0-6, lost to Walker and Miss Howcroft 1-6.
