A report at the conclusion of the visit of Count Ciano, Italian Foreign Minister. docs not indicate any agreement affecting French interests. It states that Count Ciano and Colonel Beck. Foreign Minister, agreed to develop friendship and collaboration based on affinities of the common interests of Poland and Italy, whose aims are order and justice. A Foreign Office spokesman said that Poland’s alliance with France was understood by Ltaly. Doubtless Poland would give moral support to Italian colonial claims, but the scope of them was not yet precise. The demands concerning Jibuti and the Suez Canal might be regarded as legitimate.
