STOWAWAY SENTENCED
I United Pres* Association! WELLINGTON, This Day. A stowaway on the Awatea, John Maxwell Ferine, aged 22, floor polisher, gave as a reason that he was seeking work in New Zealand. Mr Stout, S.M., in sentencing him to fourteen days’ imprisonment with hard labour, said that there was unemployment in the Dominion.
