CREW PICKED UP SAFELY ill.PA—Bv Electric TeleeiHpti —Oopvnabtl NEW YORK. 26th February. 1 The freighter Lillian from Quertoj Rico was rammed by the North Ger-j man Lloyd liner Wiegand 10 miles off; the New Jersey coast and 70 miles; south of New York to-day. The Lillian began sinking immediate-1 ly. Her crew of 32 took to the life-) boats and all were picked up safely by the Wiegand. CREW TO RETURN TO SHIP (Received 28th February, 9.40 a.m.) NEW YORK, 27th February. A coastguard cutter has reported that she is taking the Lillian’s crew from the Wiegand. leading to the presumption that the captain has decided to return to the vessel which was still: afloat at 7 a.m.
