The Spanish Chamber of Commerce misted the Nationalists’ flag and hand'd over the keys to the Marquis Quiior.es Deleon, the Nationalist represenative. who is expected to become General Franco’s Ambassador here. FRANCO WILDLY CHEERED (Received 28th February. 1.50 pm.) BURGOS. 27th February. Sir Robert Hodgson. British Envoy, nformed the Foreign Minister that Briain had decided on recognition, and ilso requested that he be recognised as British Charge d'APfaires. Coinciding with his recognition, Geniral Franco was wildly cheered on his irst public appearance here since the >eginning of the Catalan offensive. He irrived secretly on 26th February, acompanied by his wife and daughter. RECOGNITION BY SMALLER POWERS (Received 28th February, 1.50 p.m.) KAUNAS, 27th February. The Lithuanian Government decided o recognise General Franco. Latvia and Estonia are reported to be loing likewise.
