The “Herald” says that it is reliably reported that the Federal Government at its series of meetings in Melbourne decided to abandon the National Insurance scheme and to introduce legislation to repeal the National Insurance Act. It is understood that the decision was not unanimous, but that the Ministers who opposed the repeal will abide by t’-e will of the majority.
