DUKE OF GLOUCESTER
KENNELS TO BE ENLARGED ALTERATIONS AT BARNWELL CASTLE lßv Air Mail—Special Correspondent! LONDON. 7th January. The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester are expected to run their own pack of foxhounds next season, from kennels which are being enlarged at Barnwell Castle, the old Northamptonshire mansion they have acquired. Extra stabling and accommodation for servants is being built under the personal supervision of the Duke and Duchess, who move in next September. Footpaths have been made and cleanly surfaced. The ancient creeper which has covered the stonework on the front of the Castle for many years is being removed in order that a more seemly appearance may be shown. Queen Mary does not like creepers on walls. Before September the whole place will be electrified. ! A small army of workmen will soon ! occupy the gardens which, except for | the magnificent lawn on the south terI race, are to be entirely redesigned.
