AGED 109

WANTS TO GO TO AMERICA IBy Air Mail— special Correspondent! LONDON, 24th December. Charles Henry Arnold, whose birth is recorded in the church register at St. George’s, Bloomsbury, London, as 11th July, 1829. keeps fit by doing Yogi exercises every morning. He said this week ‘‘lf only 1 could get to America I should make rpy fortune.” He has toured Britain singing in light opera, and his voice is still good. He has just finished a series of records for a big gramophone company. He once gave up h‘.«j singing—to become a journalist. That job took him several times round the world. How does he keep so fit? Yogi exercises first thing in the morning. These include the control of one’s breathing. Breakfast oft tomatoes and brown bread and butter. A light meal about 11 p.m. and a glass of wine. His philosophy is sound. “Be so good at your job that you can play with it. Don’t hurry. Don’t be a grabber. And do Help your neighbour.”
