THREAT BV BOLAND [(.• DANZIG COMMISSIONER RESIGNS ill P A.-By EJlactric Telegraph-Copyright GENEVA, 18th January. Poland threatened to walk out of the League of Nations if M. Karl J. Burckhardt resigned the League High Comimasioneiship of Danzig. It is believed that Germany is prompttug truculence. At a private meeting oi three mem hers of the Dauzig committee, tlie repiesentatives of England and France did uot favour his resignation, but the Swedish member did. Mr Goldmanu, the accredited Palestine representative to the League, urged M Burekhardt’s removal on the ground that the constitution of Danzig had been violated by the expulsion of Jews.
It is expected that M. Burckhardt will remain.
