The Australian Associated Press says that the Empire Beef Council drafted a tentative scheme for the control of mutton and lamb imports, which was submitted to the Dominions requesting their views regarding the scheme. The Council expressed its willingness to revise the plan if necessary before submitting it to the Board of Trade, also that restrictions were being imposed only when essential. The Council is meeting on 19th January, at which the Dominions’ replies are expected. '
