NO SHOTS FIRED AT LEGATION HOLLAND’S REPLY TO THE REICH 11' PA.— By Electric Telegraph— Copy right! THE HAGUE. 14th January. The Foreign Office has issued a statement regarding the alleged anti-Ger-man outrages. It says that it has been proved that no shot was fired at the Hague Legation or at the Amsterdam Consulate. The small hole in the window of the Minister’s residence was obviously caused by a pebble from a boy’s catapult. Many residents in the neighbourhood had recently complained of boys using catapults. REASON FOR NAZI OUTBURST SEIZURE OF PRINTING PRESS BERLIN. 15th January. The new Nazi outburst against Holland is due to the action of the Dutch police in seizing the printing press of the “Nationale Dagbladd," the organ of the Dutch Nazi Party. “As the paper is thereby prevented from appearing, it is the same as a prohibition,” says a German official news agency, which blames “Jewish interests” for the seizure. According to a message from The Hague, the presses were seized owing tc an article offensively attacking the Dutch Minister of Justice.
