Clarence Burman. protege of Jack Dempsey, was given the decision on points against Tommy Farr, in a tenrounds boxing contest. The spectators booed the decision for five minutes, evidently believing that Farr’s rally in the tenth round, in which he battered his opponent around the ring, would have entitled him to the decision. Although Burman forced (he fighting throughout the remainder of the rounds it was an interesting fight in which many blows were landed, but neither boxer had sufficient power to make his punches vital.
