! There is in London a cemetery with ! all its tombstones inscribed in Portuguese or Spanish. It is in the Mile j End-road, next ooor to Queen Mary ! College. The cemetery dates from the time of Oliver Cromwell, who gave “the Hebrews at present residing in this citt.v j London” leave to purchase it. Some !of the tombstones have marginal inI in English. All the stones lit* j flat.
