NELSON ALL OUT FOR 188 WAIMEA REQUIRE 97 TO WIN When the luncheon adjournment was taken to-day in the Newman Shield, match Nelson had been dismissed for j 188 in their second innings leaving | Waimea 97 to get to win ; NEALE MAKES 86 Neale <46 not out) and J. Newman (0 not out) the overnight batsmen carried on and added 37 for the fourth wicket, Newman being bowled by Fowler *or 16. M. Eden had scored 29 quickly when he also fell to M. Fowler’s bowling. Five were down for 144 and Nelson were fighting for runs. McGirr went after scoring a single. R. Newman ! and Neale carried on brightly Neale reaching 86 before an appeal for caught behind the wickets was upheld. Seven | wickets were down for 186 and the; other three added only two runs, the innings closing at 188.
