Four constables who were dismissed from the force following the findings of Mr Justice Markell when he sat as a Royal Commission on starting price betting in 1936, have been vindicated as j the result of additional evidence which was heard by Mr Justice Markell re- j cently. The officers cleared are j Constables Brook, Patterson, Fletcher and Bradbury.
