RETURN OF COLONIES
NO OFFICIAL REQUEST BY GERMANY MR CHAMBERLAIN REPLIES TO QUESTIONS (Received 13th December, 9.47 a.m.) LONDON, 12th December. Replying to questions in the House of Commons, th«* Prime Minister (Mr Chamberlain) said that Germany had not officially requested the return of colonies, and that there was no obligation for Britain to give military aid to Franc** in the event of an Italian attack.
