JUBILEE BOWLING TOURNAMENT

NOT TO BE HELD TILL EASTER DECISION OF NELSON CLUB A meeting of the Jubilee committee of the Nelson Bowling Club was held last evening when it was decided to defer the Jubilee tournament until Easter. The entries were fair but the general opinion was that Christmas was not a good time to hold such an important tournament. The Maitai Club by telephone at their meeting announced that the Nelson Club would receive their hearty cooperation and a resolution of thanks was passed for this generous gesture. The Maitai and Nelson Clubs will combine to hold separate one-day tournaments on Boxing Day and New Year’fe Day, and an invitation is extended to all other clubs to take part.

CUP TO BE PRESENTED At the Nelson Club’s meeting last evening it was decided to commemorate the Jubilee of the Club by presenting a cup to the centre for a champion full rink competition. The details of same will be left to the Nelson Bowling Centre to decide.
