CRASH INTO SHEEP

TIIIKTY-SE VEN KILLED TRUCK OUT OF CONTROL NEW PLYMOUTH. Bth December. Crashing through a flock of sheep ancl lambs, a motor-truck on the inland north road somersaulted twice before coming to rest against a fence this afternoon. . Havoc was wrought among the flock. 3" of which were killed. The driver of the truck had if remarkable escape r.'oin injury. The accident happened near the Tikorrngi Dairy Company's factory, which lies in a dip in tire road. Turning a corner on the road, a contracting employee. Mr G. Bunn, came unexpectedly upon the sheep and the truck, which was empty, struck one animal. This threw the vehicle about, The driver was unable to maintain control and the truck swerved across the road through the Mock of sheep before it came to rest on its wheels against a fence on the opposite side of the road.
