TERRITORIAL ARMY IN BRITAIN FIGURES FOR LAST MONTH TOTAL STRENGTH NOW OVER 200,000 I British Official Wireless! (Received 10th December, 11.0 a.m.) RUGBY, 9th December. Recruiting for the Territorial Army created new records last month. The intake of 9606 recruits was the best for any November since the war, and the net increase of 6113 brought the total strength on Ist December to 200,190, of all ranks. This is the highest figure ever achieved since the Territorial Army was reconstituted in 1921, and it is only a few hundreds below the establishment of 210.607 fixed on Ist November. A higher establishment of about 224,000 is now in view. Five anti-aircraft divisions, with a combined strength of 65.860 of all ranks, are for the first time included in the latest returns. The establishment of the Territorial Army of all ranks in 1913 was 312,400, and the strength 245,769.
