ROLLS ROYCE FACTORY
INSPECTED BY AIR MINISTER PLANS FOR EXTENSION 1 British Official Wireless! (Received 10th December, 11.20 a.m.) RUGBY, 9th December. The Air Minister, Sir Kingsley Wood, made a tour of the aerial side of the Rolls Royce factory at Derby. In a speech he disclosed plans for a large extension of the company’s factory at Crewe and said that the first factory at Crewe was nearing completion and would employ 4000. A second factory would be begun in March and completed the following year, providing employment for about 3000 more.
