WAIMEA DEFEAT WAKATU
MARGIN OF 55 RUNS ON FIRST INNINGS TAILENDERS COLLAPSE On Saturday Waimea finished their championship game with Wakatu. winning by 55 runs on the first innings. At four o’clock Wakatu had five down for 150 runs, but the remaining wickets fell to the bowling of D. Max for the paltry addition of 8 runs, Wakatu being out for 158, D. Max’s figures going from one for 24 to five for 27. M. Eden (66) was the only bright spot in Wakatu’s innings. Waimea had a second strike, losing five wickets for 70.
