Important questions affecting the radio and meteorological facilities for the proposed trans-Tasman air service are to be discussed at a conference of experts to be held in Sydney on 12th December. Administrative details arising out of the co-operation of New Zealand and Australia will also be considered. The Minister in Charge of the Air Department (the Hon. F. Jones) said to-day in an interview that New Zealand would be represented at the conterenece by Group-Captain T. M. Wilkes. Controller of Civil Aviation. Dr. M. A. F. Barnett, Senior Government Meteorologist, and Mr E. H. R. Green, radio engineer, of the Post and Telegraph Department. Dr. Barnett will sail for Australia from Auckland to-morrow. and the other two delegates will leave on 6th December. They will make a report to the Government on their return.
