The Disabled Soldiers’ Association held a meeting last evening when a strong appeal was made for an amendment to the War Pensions Act with a view to abolishing the secret reports on applicants for pensions, abolishing the word “directly” in connection with attribulability of incapacity to war service, and the setting up of an independent pensions board in the main centres in lieu of the present “inadequate” system.
