WAKEFIELD

HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY ANNUAL SHOW HIGH STANDARD REACHED I From Our Own Correspondent! Although entries in the Wakefielc Horticultural Society’s annual shov were not as numerous as other years the high standard reached in man} classes was the subject of favourable comment from, the judges. The Rev. Mr Davnes, who opened tht show, complimented the committee anc exhibitors on the wonderful effect pro duced. He congratulated the prize winners and thought that taking intc account the long spell of heavy wind: prior to the show the flowers displayec were a revelation.
