"DEAD END”

A STRIKING FILM “Dead End,” a strong drama features Sylvia Sidney and Joel McCrea. “Dead End” is one of the most striking films seen in New Zealand. It deals with the frustrated lives of people in the big city, and the courage with which they face their problems. These people living on the river’s edge hold the tense interest of the audience with their joys and sorrows, their loves and their hates, and the romance that develops is as unusual as it is interesting. Sylvia Sidney and Joel McCrea give great performances in the leading roles, and they are well supported by Humphrey Bogart, Claire Trevor, Wendy Barrie, Allen Jenkins, and some very clever children.
