GOLDEN DOWNS SPORTS MEETING
NEXT SATURDAYS FIXTURE The Golden Downs sports meeting will be held at the schoolgrounds next Saturday, when the following programme of events will be carried out: Putting the shot: 100yds hurdles, handicap; 100yds scratch race; hop, step and jump; mixed boot race; mugs 12in upright chop; tug-o’-war, six-men teams; Golden Downs championship chop, 14in upright, handicap; children’s races; 14in underhand chop, handicap; boat race, seven-men teams; long jump, handicap; ladies’ races, (a) married ladies. <b» single ladies; visitors’ race, 100yds; 220yds handicap; inter-camp relay, four-men teams; sack race; wheelbarrow race; president’s chop, 12in unright: bun worrying; high jump; 100yds handicap.
