APPEAL FOR FUNDS GENEROUS RESPONSE MADE EARL BALDWIN TO BROADCAST ! U P.A —Bv Electric Telegraph —Copyright (Received 24th November. 1.45 p.m.) LONDON, 23rd November. Three thousand donations, representing £42.000, have been received at the London house of Baron Rothschild in response to a non-sectarian appeal for Jewish refugees issued by leaders of the British Jewry on 18th November. Earl Baldwin will broadcast on Bth December for the churches to appeal for £50.000 for the relief of non-Aryan Christian refugees from Germany. A collection is being made in all churches on 11th December.
