ALLEGATION 15Y UNITED STATES j NEW REGIME IN CHINA TOKIO. 21st November, i The Foreign Office spokesman crypti- ; caily announced to-day that an official 'explanation is to be made of principles ; hitherto applied in China, but which ! are inapplicable to-day. It is assumed that this will be an j amplification of the reply to America’s ! allegation of trade discrimination and I violation of the open-door policy, and J that the standards of the past will no longer be recognisable. I A round-table conference will open ! to-morrow to discuss the promotion of I economic co-operation between Japan ! and Manchukuo in the Japanese- ! controlled areas of China and Outer Mongolia. It will include the highest Japanese bankers and economists. Nine months’ statistics show that Japan has doubled her exports to China, and that the United States. Germany, and Britain are the next highest suppliers. Britain, France, and the United States will shortly make a simultaneous protest against the Japanese seizure of the Customs at Canton.
