SKATING
A SEASON IN NELSON Saturday will mark the opening of the skating season in Nelson when Phelps Bros., proprietors of the Golden Gate Rink, Wellington, will commence a short season in the Y.M.C.A. Hall while having their Wellington rink remodelled. Skating is enjoying great popularity and rinks in America and on the Continent are operating all the year round and this practice is now I being followed everywhere.
