PARACHUTE REGIMENT
VOLUNTEERS CALLED FOR •UFA— Bv Electric Telegraph— Copyright) BERLIN, 22nd November. The newspapers are calling for volunteeers aged 17 to 22 for Germany's first parachutist rifle regiment. Their main wartime duty will be to create surprise diversions in the enemy’s flank and rear where they would be dropped from aircraft by parachutes. They must serve two years, after which they have the option of joining the regular army for twelve years.
