GOLFER BOBBY LOCKE
LIKELY TO BE IN BED TILL FRIDAY fUoited Press Association! GISBORNE, This Day. The first portion of the Dominion tour by the South African golfer Bobby Locke may have to be recast owing to Locke’s continued illness. Locke was admitted to hospital yesterday and today was still running a temperature, which the doctor said was likely to keep him in bed until Friday. It is hoped that he will be able to play a local match on Saturday, but his future arrangements will be announced as soon as possible. NORTH ISLAND ITINERARY ALTERED WELLINGTON, This Day. According to advice received in Wellington the golfer Bobby Locke is suffering from stomach trouble, not a chill. His North Island itinerary has been slightly altered and the southern unchanged. He will play at Gisborne on 29th October, Hastings on 31st October, Masterton on Ist November, Palmerston North on 2nd November and Wellington on 3rd November. It lb hoped that he will play exhibition matches at New Plymouth and Wanganui towards the end of the tour.
