FULL SETTLEMENT
WHOLESALE WAREHOUSEMEN’S * DISPUTE WAGE INCREASES i United Prcsß Association! WELLINGTON, 25th October. A complete settlement was reached in the wholesale warehousemen’s (other than soft goods) industrial dispute heard in Conciliation Council in Wellington yesterday. Mr W. E. Anderson (Auckland) appeared for the employers an,d Mr W. Miller (Auckland) for the workers. The terms of the agreement were similar to those reached in the softgoods dispute. The wages of adult males have been increased by 5s a week to £5. with an additional 5s a week when the worker has completed 12 year’s service, or has attained the age of 28. Hours of work are 42, as in the expired award. Annual holidays have been increased to a fortnight. Minimum wages for travellers, both town and country, are £5 12s 6d a week, but country travellers are not bound by any clauses other than those relating to wages. The award, as far as wages are concerned, comes into operation as from 24th October, and is for a term of one year-
