EFFORT TO CONCLUDE ON SATURDAY W A‘K CO-OPERATION OF OPPOSITION TO BE SOUGHT COMPLETION OF LEGISLATIVE PROGRAMME [United Press Association] WELLINGTON, This Day. The Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage, announced to-day that an attempt would be made to conclude the session on Saturday week. He would seek the co-operation of the Opposition to put through the remainder of the legislative programme, which would include the following Bills: Finance Bill, King George V Memorial Fund Bin, New Zealand Centennial Bill, Education Amendment Bill, Samoa Amendment Bill, Local Legislation, Reserves | and Other Lands Disposal and Native I Purposes Bills, the last three of which i were "washing up” measures, and the ! usual Appropriation Bill. I Mr Savage said there was nothing in I any of the measures that should hold l U P the House. Before the House rose jhe would tell members all about the | election, nomination day and so on, I and when the election would take , place. He would also outline the broadcasting facilities that would be made | available to all parties. He would move this afternoon that on and after next Monday the House should sit on Mondays.
