Fine weather attended the Epsom summer meeting to-day and there was again a particularly large attendance. } The chief event, the Oaks Stakes, an j event for three-year-old fillies, was j won in effortless style by Rockfel. who had annexed the One Thousand Guineas at her previous appearance Result:— Oaks Stakes, sweepstake with £2OOO added; one mile*and a half and five yards.—Rockfel, 9.0. 1; Radiant, 9.0. 2; Solai’ Flower, 9.0. 3. Fourteen starters. Won by lour lengths, a length and a half between second and third.
