DISTANCE OF OVER 200 MILES I British Official Wireless! (Received 7th June, 10.20 a.m.) RUGBY, 6th June. Television transmission over a distance of 220 miles was reported from Middlesbrough, where on a standard receiving apparatus erecte 1 on a specially chosen site on the outskirts of the town, the AJexandia Palaee programme of dancing and other items was clearly viewed, with some interruptions due to electrical interference, for over an hour.
