REPRESENTATIVE TRIAL j The ground at Pioneer Park was in j first class condition for hockey and a! [good game in the women’s representative trial resulted. The B team attack-, jed strongly and G. Shaw and J. ' (Kearns worried the A backs but good | j work by N. West kept them out. Up and down play followed but there was too much obstruction and offside which j i spoilt the work on both sides. Even-. , tually the B team scored and shortly | before half time the A team netted. On resuming the A team combined' better and tested the B team's defences, :E. Lockington, H. Mant and D. Fry standing out well. The B team rallied, 'and again found the net. E. Lockington put a beautiful centre across but | the inside forward could not connect. 1 A good rush by the A forwards resulted in a goal. Shortly afterwards the I A team again scored. The B team tried to equalise but time sounded with the A team on the attack, the score being A team 3. B team 2. PLAYERS TO TRAIN The selector. Mr H.
