Maun- j j sell S.M. as follows: | Laurence Claude Fowler. charged • j with driving a car which had no tail- i light, was ordered to pay costs. 10s. Noel Albert Jellyman, for not having i sufficient lights on his car was fined i 10s. costs 10s: and for not ha\\ig a warrant of fitness, was fined 10s, costs 10s. Alexander Rosenberg pleaded guilty to a charge of negligently driving a lorry at Redwood’s Valley. Senior Sergeant C. Petersen said that defendant had been driving down the Moutere Hill and had collided with a car, which defendant had said that he did not see. It had apparently’ been a momentary lapse for one who was known as an expert driver. Defendant said that the accident was due to a blind spot caused by the construction of the lorry. The approaching car had been obstructed from his vision. A fine of £l, costs 10s was imposed, the Magistrate suggesting that defendant should have his lorry altered. For having no warrant of fitness for his car. Arthur Edwin Tasker was fli* d ss. costs 10s. King Ming pleaded guilty to a charge I that being the occupier of a shop where | smoking requisites were sold, he failed I tc close such premises at the required j hours. 1 The Inspector of Factories. Mr D. ! Rollo. who brought the charge, said that j he had seen defendant sell a packet of j cigarettes after hours. The inspector said that such breaches of the law were very difficult to detect.
