Petersen said that defendant had been driving down the Moutere Hill and had collided with a car, which defendant had said that he did not see. It had apparently’ been a momentary lapse for one who was known as an expert driver. Defendant said that the accident was due to a blind spot caused by the construction of the lorry. The approaching car had been obstructed from his vision. A fine of £l, costs 10s was imposed, the Magistrate suggesting that defendant should have his lorry altered.
